I have been having issues with Intellisense in Microsoft Visual Studio 2012.

I will be working in a project, editing code and whatnot (after a period of time, anywhere from 5 minutes to over an hour) and all of a sudden, no more code suggestions or intellisense.

However, since the library codes don't change at all, so there is no reason to search through them every time you press 'f' in the text editor.

We can just make a pre-compiled header file with all the stable codes and let intellisense to use it as the reference.

put /Yu in the Additional Options under Intelli Sense Confirm then Visual Studio will start generating pre-compiled header file specifically for intellisense, and the file will be put under ipch folder within your project folder.

This will probably reduce the intellisense auto-complete response time (in a newly generated project) from 10 seconds to about 1 second if you are modifying outside of any function, or 50ms if you are within a function. Note: the file can only be found if you build engine from source, and it's in /Engine/Source/Programs/Unreal Build Tool/System/ folder Why would this work?

I have installed Visual Studio 2015 Professional Edition, and my computer specs are Intel i7-3770 CPU 3.40 GHz, 8 GB RAM, and Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit. My VS has slowed to a crawl many times like that over the years.

Solution 3 Just delete the folder "Reflected Schemas".You might also want to edit your question and break it up into some readable paragraphs; the wall of text you posted is hard to read, and the easier you make your question to read the better your chances of getting help.:-) I should note that I haven't had the issue since upgrading my RAM.When I do use VS (which is still daily), I make sure that it's in a VM with a very clean snapshot that I can revert to (making sure everything is in version control!

) I've worked with every version of VS (even back to VC 1.0). There will always be "lol it works on my machine lol" folk, but it seems that this problem is nearly ubiquitous. Most Intelli Sense options are in effect by default.
